Social Media 4 Business

Social Media 4 Business 13 & 20 September 2014presented by Norris I.T.

This course is postponed till next year. Please contact us citing Social Media Course if you want to be on the list when we know the dates and times.

Are you making the best use of social media in your business? Do you use social media at all but don’t want to be left behind?

With Racheal and Tim Norris you will learn how you can benefit from these increasingly important ways of communicating with customers. The major focus is on Facebook. Discover how to set up and maintain a page for yourself and your business. Attract followers. Keep your page active and relevant. Run a campaign or one-off event. Get loads of tips and tricks – but also find out about some of the traps and privacy no-nos.

Get the know-how and find out when Facebook works best – and when it doesn’t.

The course will also feature a general introduction to other social media, including Twitter, Linked In, Google Plus, Instagram, and blogs and web pages – and how to integrate the ones that suit you. Find out which one does what and which audience they really work for.

At the end of the second day you will have a draft Social Media Plan, a strategy and a new understanding of Facebook and other social media.

When: two three-hour classes on consecutive Tuesdays, 16 & 23 September 2014, 6-9pm.

Where: TBA.

Cost: $90. Dungog District Chamber of Commerce members $85. Two people from the same business $155.

What to bring: A laptop, iPad or tablet so you can set up a page and work with it: if you don’t have one, either borrow one or let us know and we can try to organise something. Try to eat something beforehand or bring something to munch on. Tea, coffee and bickies will be provided.

If you don’t have a Facebook presence already: please contact us to make arrangements – we want you to set up the right sort of FB account! If you’re so concerned about FB that you don’t want to risk it, call and we can talk over the issues and find an alternative way.
