Spend a great morning enjoying this healthy, enlivening activity. With its low hills and scenery, Dungog Shire is a marvellous place to mountain-bike, and Dungog Common is a great place to try it out.

Over the morning the class will learn

–  basic riding techniques

–  ways to ride safely, ways to conserve energy, picking the right path, dealing with obstacles

– gearing, keeping your bike running,

–  building health and condition for the future

–  where to next – mountain-biking is becoming very popular round here lately

–  what that funny smell is (hint: it’s fresh air).

Aerobic, muscle-building, bone-building, endorphin-pumping, the health benefits of mountain biking are well known. And there are few risks if you take a sensible approach: such as doing this course.

Bikes and safety gear are provided, but you can bring your own. Morning tea is included.

When: Saturday 23 August, 9.30-1.00.

Where: The Dungog Common, end of Common Road, Dungog.

Cost: $65. Youth (13-18) $49.
