The Style & Fit Course

Discover & sew your perfect look

Investigate elements of clothing style, learn how to accentuate your best features.

On day 1 trainer Barbara Sherlock will help you assess your figure for proportion, size and type and give you some great tips on how to gather a wardrobe that really suits. On days 2 and 3 you will be learning how to adjust a pattern so a blouse will fit just right. You’ll tissue-fit the pattern to your measurements, sew a toile, make some fine adjustments and create the final garment. Pattern adjustments on this basic pattern can be used on many others.

Knowing your style helps you feel good. Avoiding expensive purchasing ‘mistakes’ is great for the budget too. And knowing how to sew it yourself is even better.

Barbara Sherlock has a long term passion for sewing and upcycling and a background in teaching. We will be treated to her huge amount of experience and knowledge gained over the past 10 years as a member of the Australian Sewing Guild.
